Directors
Jasmine Sanders discovered her passion for volleyball after watching the Olympic team, an experience that inspired her to pursue the sport at a high level from a young age. A Greenville, North Carolina, native, she went on to compete collegiately at both the Division I and Division II levels. Her collegiate career began at Florida Southern College, where she was a member of an NCAA Division II National Runner-Up volleyball team, before continuing at North Carolina Central University as a Division I opposite and right-side hitter.
Jasmine has led youth camps, provided private instruction, and coached travel volleyball athletes throughout her collegiate and professional career. She is passionate about helping athletes develop strong fundamentals, volleyball IQ, confidence, leadership skills, and the mindset needed to compete at the next level. Her experience as both a collegiate athlete and coach allows her to guide players through the challenges of growth, competition, and the recruiting process.
Outside of volleyball, Jasmine has built a career in consulting, real estate, and entrepreneurship, bringing valuable leadership and mentorship skills to her coaching approach.
As Co-Director of Carolina Explosion Volleyball, Jasmine is committed to restoring a strong culture of competition, excellence, and player development within the sport. She believes athletes deserve an environment that challenges them to grow, compete at a high level, and maximize the opportunities available during their playing careers. Her vision for Carolina Explosion is to provide exceptional coaching, meaningful development opportunities, and a culture that prepares athletes for success both on and off the court.
Tasha serves as the Administrative Director of Carolina Explosion Volleyball and is the operational force behind the club. With a background in leadership, business operations, and a Master of Social Work, she brings a level of intentionality to this role that goes far beyond running a sports club.
As a volleyball mom of two daughters who have competed at the club, school, and beach levels, she has experienced the sport from the stands, the sidelines, and behind the scenes. Her approach is straightforward: build something that truly serves athletes. That means strong operations, honest communication, and a genuine commitment to developing the whole player—not just the one who shows up on the court.
Coaches
Originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee, Tori's love for volleyball began at a young age. She played both high school and collegiate club volleyball, primarily as a setter and defensive specialist. Through the sport, she developed a strong appreciation for discipline, teamwork, and leadership qualities that continue to shape her coaching philosophy today.
Tori is passionate about developing and mentoring young athletes both on and off the court. She has supported student-athletes through roles with Wake Forest University and Duke University Athletics, helping them navigate their academic and personal development. Currently, she serves as an Academic Advisor at Wake Tech Community College, where she works closely with students to support their academic success, personal growth, and long-term goals.
Outside of coaching, Tori enjoys watching sports, spending time with friends and family, shopping, and growing her business, Restore Cleaning Services, where she helps clients create clean and welcoming spaces.
Tori is excited to be a part of the Carolina Explosion family and looks forward to helping athletes grow both as players and as people.
Growing up in the Wake Forest area, Jenn played just about every sport she could—volleyball, basketball, track, and softball—while attending Wake Forest-Rolesville High School. Athletics have always been a major part of her life and ultimately led her to NC State University, where she earned a degree in Chemical Engineering while competing as a collegiate basketball player. During her time there, she had the privilege of playing for legendary coach Kay Yow, who taught her that relationships are more important than any sport, record, or accomplishment. That lesson has stayed with her and continues to shape her approach to coaching today.
Currently, Jenn is a third-grade teacher at Wake Prep Academy. Teaching and coaching are two of her greatest passions because they provide opportunities to help young people grow in confidence, character, leadership, and skill. While she loves competition and pursuing excellence, she is equally passionate about helping athletes develop the qualities that will help them succeed long after their playing days are over.
Jenn's coaching philosophy is built on hard work, accountability, positivity, and teamwork. She strives to create an environment where athletes feel challenged, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential both on and off the court.
When she isn't coaching, Jenn enjoys spending time with her family, working on puzzles, taking walks with her family dog, Ollie, watching sports, and exploring the greater Raleigh area.
Jenn is looking forward to a great season and is excited to work alongside an outstanding group of coaches and athletes at Carolina Explosion.
Coach Duncan grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she developed a passion for volleyball at an early age. A former libero at both the school and club levels, she has spent the past several years coaching and mentoring young athletes, with a focus on skill development, confidence, teamwork, and character.
Outside of coaching, you can find her near the water—fishing or swimming—spending time with family, traveling, or curating events as the owner of Milan EmPower, a dessert and beverage catering company.
She is excited to begin the season with Carolina Explosion and looks forward to helping her athletes grow both on and off the court.
Rainey is originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, where she discovered her passion for volleyball during her freshman year of high school. Since then, she has continued to grow both as an athlete and teammate, developing a strong love for the game and the competitive environment it brings.
She currently plays volleyball at Patrick & Henry Community College and is entering her sophomore year. As a middle blocker/right side, Rainey is passionate about improving her skills, competing at a high level, and being someone her teammates can rely on both on and off the court. She values teamwork, communication, hard work, and creating a positive team environment.
Outside of volleyball, Rainey enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching anime, and exploring trails. She is excited for the upcoming season and looks forward to continuing to grow as both an athlete and coach while helping her team succeed on and off the court.
Playing multiple sports was the norm in the family of Lake Moore. She found her love for volleyball at introduction, and added the sport to her repertoire of basketball and softball. As an outside hitter and middle blocker, she was dedicated to honing her skills and played all six rotations in high school and club. She has coached at the middle and high school levels.
Lake describes her brand as a cheerleader, coach, corrector, and a champion. She feels blessed to be able to impact lives as a SHRM human resource professional, and certified executive coach.
Her most rewarding titles are Mrs. Moore and Mommy. She cherishes her family, her friends, her community and faith.
Her coaching philosophy is that coaches are on assignment to positively impact the heart, the mind, and the will of every player in their care. One coach can change lives!
